Animations Mapping Battles in History

History Animated provides animations of battles of the American Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, the US Civil War, and US campaigns in Europe and the Pacific during World War II. In each of the series of animations, students will see the movement of armies displayed on a map. Each animation is accompanied by captions describing the strategies of the armies as well as the results and consequences of each battle.

You’ll want to have a student test this on a Chromebook before planning on using it in class – just to make sure the animations will play. If not, you can always project them for the whole class to watch!
