Tell us THREE random, interesting facts about you that we’d be surprised to learn!

I love to bake in my free time! Cooking is relaxing to me! I originally wanted to be a CPA.

What’s Your Why?

I wanted to be just like some of the teachers I had. Ones that encouraged students and created memorable learning experiences. Also, I am talkative and couldn’t handle being in a quiet environment.

What has been your proudest teaching moment?

Earning Teacher of the Year at Tannahill Intermediate for the 2016-2017 school year.

Tell us why/how you make technology a priority in your classroom?

I utilize technology every day in my classroom. From questions of the day on the smart board, utilizing google tools to provide visuals and interactive lessons, and implementing assignments that offer student collaboration through the google platform.

What is your ALL TIME favorite tech tool?

Google slides.

Please share with us your most successful tech-integrated lesson and tell us a little bit about that experience:

Students had to explain different relationships with in an ecosystem. I allowed students to work on a shared slide and complete the task with just the titles and the templates set up. The students enjoyed the lesson and it created a memory for them.
