Tell us THREE random, interesting facts about you that we’d be surprised to learn!

I used to own my own business. One of my favorite things to do during summer is puzzles! I have a puzzle table. Favorite movie: Evita

What’s Your Why?

I became a teacher because I’m a people person, I love interacting with people and having a new challenge everyday. While there is many professions that match this criteria there are few that allow you to make a lasting impression on our younger generation while giving you the opportunity to guide them in the right direction. I’m not going to lie, I want to be that teacher students remember 30 years from now. I don’t care if they remember anything I taught them or even what subject I taught, I just want a “That guy was crazy and I looked forward to his class everyday.”

What has been your proudest teaching moment?

I love when students come back to visit.

Tell us why/how you make technology a priority in your classroom or campus?

Technology gives you the opportunity to make more engaging lessons and allows you to present information to students in an out of the box manner. I have found that even small changes in how you give notes can have a major effect on engagement.

What is your ALL TIME favorite tech tool?

While I have not had as much opportunity as I like this year, I really enjoy both BreakOut boxes and digital BreakOut.

Please share with us your most successful tech-integrated lesson or program/initiative and tell us a little bit about that experience:

I was looking for an interesting way to review my students over Canada but didn’t want to go through the process of setting up the BreakOut boxes. Digital BreakOuts are awesome for such things!
